The Birth of Civil Engineering

Civil engineering came into existence in 4000 - 2000B.C . It is said that it was first seen in the Ancient Egypt, Indus valley, Mesopotamia. When human's started quitting there Nomadic life and started living in the construction shelter's.

It is considered Mother of all Engineering's.  

 

 

 In Modern time civil engineering came into limelight in year 1729, with the man name John Smeaton. As John Smeaton constructed many things like- Bridges, Canals, Harbours. He even created Lighthouses. Thus he was given the title of Father of Civil Engineering.
